Angelo Papa began his professional career in 1973 as a
teacher/football coach in public education. As in his high
school playing career he excelled, by learning early, and then
developing concepts like delay gratification, solid work
ethic, teamwork, and being prepared.
These concepts, helped him win an educator of the year
award, and be successful as a championship player and football
coach.

Desiring, to reach more students than those assigned to
him in his individual classroom or on the playing fields, he
worked at night to earn certification and a master's degree in
school administration. At age 29, he became one of the
youngest high school assistant principals, in a local high
school, where the superintendent termed him..." the best
assistant principal we ever had at Shenango High
School...".
Eventually, while performing those duties, as well as
being married, and the father of two children (Christopher and
Jessica), he worked hard to get into, and then graduate from
Duquesne University School of Law (night school). During his
employment responsibilities, this commitment required him to
drive from New Castle to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania four nights
a week for four years.
He eventually graduated, and immediately began working
as an assistant prosecutor in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
During that time he had a 98% conviction rate. The
communication skills learned as an educator were invaluable in
jury trials.
In 1994, he located his private practice in a 20 (plus)
room, turn-of-the-century mansion he purchased and restored,
which is located on a hillside at 318 Highland Ave. New
Castle, Pa. Instead of naming it after himself or his family,
at the suggestion of his wife, Dianne, it was named
"Signature Hill”.
The name signature hill was chosen for dual purpose.
(1) The thought is that the professionals located there, take
pride in who... they are (ie their signature), and provide
quality service, to consumers who are more than just a number.
(2) Professionals remember that each of the consumers, are
persons... and "who" they are..(ie their signature)
is more important than what they are.(Signaturehill)
He began his practice, promising three basic concepts
to consumers. COMPETENCE, being prepared, INTEGRITY,
saying what you mean and meaning what you say, especially with
regard to deadlines, and WORK ETHIC, doing
"whatever it takes" to get the job started and
heard. A market niche was identified and pounced upon for an
attorney who gets the initial paper work turned around quickly
in this ..."I needed it yesterday world..." and who
was aggressive enough and a good enough communicator to
promise clients that they will be heard.
Our goal is to win for you.
Most often, it is believed that although there are no
guarantees that these promises would cause one to be
successful, when they are adhered to, at minimum, the client
will be heard on time by a proper presentation from a prepared
attorney. This kind of work ethic often positions a file and
client where they at least deserve to win. Winning often
follows "deserving to win" in all forms of life
pursuits. Alternatively, sometimes not everyone can win, but
it is still possible to put everyone in a better position.
Ending up better off than when you started is almost always
(also) a by-product of deserving to win. "Exit strategies
are also a part of the "action plan we will formulate
during initial client interview.
Throughout the years that followed the location of the
law office to Signature Hill (not surprisingly) these concepts
significantly contributed major growth of the practice.
Also, on numerous occasions, clients who approached for
legal advice, also needed other professional advice from other
academic areas and/or other geographic areas.
The next, expansion, the practice experienced, was that
of seeking out other professional advisors, in a myriad of
academic and geographic areas. Not surprisingly, the screening
criteria used were competence, integrity, and work ethic.
After finding other diverse "like minded independent
professionals and applying, team concepts learned years
before, Signature Hill/legal, was able to interact with other
independent professionals in other academic and geographic
areas, for the sake of a total client, and create a
team objective.
Signature
Hill Professional Consultants was born
It was not and is not a joint venture of any kind.
Instead, it is an independent association of academically,
and/or geographically diverse professionals agreeing among
other things to give priority scheduling to each other for
referrals, work from common documentation for follow-up, data
tracking, and communication purposes, and arrive at and
thereafter pursue a total solution. All of this is done
through a central administrative and communication
infrastructure "Signature Hill". (The conductor)
This concept, worked especially well in areas such as 1
(estate planning, networking accountants, tax
lawyers, document lawyers, investment and insurance product
experts, etc.) and 2 (real property development,
networking zoning lawyers, architects, bankers, mortgage
brokers, real estate agents, property-casualty insurance
experts, labor and industry consultants, etc.
Thus, the evolution of "Core teams of such
professionals were the next natural evolution of the concept (Alpha/Omega
property consultants, shpc professional consultants and USA PC)
